Optionize is a Shopify application that lets merchants add custom product options — such as
text fields, dropdowns, swatches, checkboxes, and file uploads — with optional price add-ons to the
products in their store. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use,
and share personal information when you install or use our application.
Personal Information We Collect
When you install and use Optionize, we may collect the following types of information:
Shopify store data: Your store name, domain, and configuration details necessary to
operate the app.
Merchant account information: Your name and email address associated with your
Shopify account.
Product and collection data: Products and collections from your store, so that
option sets can be assigned to the right products and displayed on your storefront.
Order details: Basic order line item information (order number, quantity, and
totals) for orders that include products with custom options, used to show you order statistics.
We do not store your customers' names, email addresses, or shipping addresses.
Customer file uploads: Files that your customers upload through file upload
options on your storefront (for example, images for personalized products), stored securely so
they can be attached to the corresponding order.
Visitor information: IP addresses, browser type, cookies, and log files collected
automatically when accessing our service.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the Optionize service — displaying your custom
options on your storefront, applying price add-ons, and attaching customer selections and uploaded
files to carts and orders.
Show you statistics and insights about orders that include products with custom options.
Provide customer support through the in-app chat and send you service-related emails.
Improve, personalize, and expand the functionality of our application.
Monitor and analyze usage trends to enhance the user experience.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties. We may share

With trusted service providers who help us operate the app — such as hosting, file storage,
analytics, and customer support tooling — and who only process data on our behalf.

Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your data only for as long as it is needed to provide the service:
When you uninstall Optionize, your access tokens are revoked and your shop data is
scheduled for deletion.
We honor Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks: shop data erasure and customer data requests or
erasure submitted through Shopify are processed automatically.
You may also contact us at any time to request deletion of your data.
